Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Knox County, Mount Vernon Country Club boasts an idyllic setting and scenic views.  The undulating terrain provides plenty of elevated tees that offer panoramic views.  The well-manicured greens are fast and the fairways are lined with mature trees.  
The course presents an interesting layout of traditional holes balanced with more modern elements.  Strategically placed bunkers protect the greens.  There are water hazards coming into play on four holes, most notably on the course’s signature 17th hole.  This par 4 is the most visually intimidating and requires a downhill tee shot past serene ponds, dramatically accented with a cascading fountain.
